Senior New Product Development Technologist

Role overview:

Reporting to the Strategic Innovation Manager, this role is instrumental in developing and maintaining workable product formulations to support and deliver the NPD plan and business objectives. In this role you will be developing and coordinating new products from conception to commercialisation. This role requires a good understanding of both the scientific principles behind formulations and the practical application of the principles in product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to new product design and upgraded formulations
  
• Provide technical recommendations into marketing concepts and ideas
  
• Mentor and coach junior members of the NPD team
  
• Support with strategic procurement initiatives
  
• Assist in regulatory sign-off of labels, to ensure that labels are compliant
• Assist in formulation process improvements

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Have a tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science/Technology or related discipline
  
• Have 10+ years’ experience in product development roles within the health industry
• Have experience in running solid pharmaceutical dose trials
  
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
  
• Can multitask and work in a team environment
• Has demonstrated leadership skills through leading small groups
