Quality Assurance Specialist - 6 months fixed term

Urgent opportunities – immediate start. We’re looking for two experienced Quality Assurance Specialists to join our passionate QA team, each on a 6-month fixed-term basis. We’re moving quickly and expect to begin interviewing as early as next week. In these hands-on roles, you’ll collaborate with production and quality control teams to uphold our Quality Management Systems and deliver on the promises we make to our customers and consumers.
What You’ll Do
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will:
- Ensure Product Quality: Release finished products to the market by verifying compliance with our Quality Management System (QMS), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Quality Checks: Perform in-process quality checks in manufacturing and packing areas, ensuring products meet specifications at every stage.
- Investigate and Resolve Issues: Lead investigations into customer complaints and quality issues identify root causes and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Internal Audits & Continuous Improvement: Plan and conduct internal audits, participate in continuous improvement projects, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and manage documentation, including manufacturing/packing records, export documents (Certificates of Analysis, Export Declarations), and ensure accurate filing and retention of samples.
- Training & Support: Deliver quality-related training to production teams, support new product launches, and provide guidance on GMP and regulatory compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality control, logistics, planning, and customer feedback teams to resolve quality issues and support business goals.
- Team Player: Ability to build
relationships, communicate effectively, and contribute to a supportive,
high-performing team.
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following:
- Minimum experience of 2+ years in Quality Assurance – GMP environment
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- An ability to multi-task and contribute as a team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A tertiary qualification in science, food technology or other relevant field
- Advanced computer literacy, (Microsoft Outlook, Word
& Excel)
