As a team leader in QC, you will partner closely with the Analytical Team Leader – Day Shift, the Quality Control Manager, and cross-functional stakeholders (PD, QA, Procurement, Planning, Regulatory) to elevate standards, enhance efficiency, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about developing people, optimising processes, and delivering quality without compromise.

The health and wellbeing industry is evolving rapidly and this role allows you to join us on the journey, ensuring our laboratory operations remain agile, compliant, and best-in-class.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, coach and inspire a team of Laboratory Analysts to consistently deliver against production and release timelines

  • Oversee analytical testing and material release with a strong focus on efficiency and compliance
  • Champion GMP, GLP, NZ GMP and PIC/S compliance, ensuring audit readiness at all times
  • Lead OOS investigations, method development, validation and troubleshooting, driving right-first-time outcomes
  • Partner cross-functionally with QC, QA, NPD and Operations to align priorities and remove barriers to delivery
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capability, throughput, and team performance

What you’ll bring

  • A BSc in Chemistry (or related discipline)
  • 6+ years’ experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment
  • Strong hands-on expertise in HPLC and dissolution testing
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate high-performing teams
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a drive to challenge the status quo and lift standards
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality, compliance, and operational excellence
