The Opportunity

At Vitaco, our Legal team is close to the action. We help the business move with confidence, make informed commercial decisions, and manage risk in a practical, solutions-focused way.

Reporting into the General Counsel, this is a broad commercial role for someone who enjoys being embedded in the business - not just reviewing contracts from the sidelines. You will work with people across Procurement, Sales, Marketing, eCommerce, Regulatory, Operations and Senior Leadership to understand what they are trying to achieve, then help build the path forward.

What you’ll be doing 

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements across procurement, operations, projects, marketing and supplier activity. 
• Provide practical advice on commercial risk, pricing and promotional activity, regulatory considerations and business decisions. 
• Support supplier, co-manufacturing and early-stage commercial engagement, helping teams move from discussion to workable agreements. 
• Work on eCommerce and marketplace arrangements, including fast-moving and evolving commercial models. 
• Manage NDAs, contract workflows, execution processes and legal systems to keep work moving efficiently. 
• Translate legal complexity into clear, concise guidance that helps business teams make decisions and take the next step. 

How this role really works 

You will be working in a business where priorities can shift, instructions may not always arrive neatly packaged, and the best legal support is often the one that helps people clarify the problem and move forward. The role needs someone who can context-switch, ask good questions, and bring structure without slowing the business down. 

• Start with the commercial objective, then shape legal advice around what the business is trying to achieve. 
• Provide risk-based advice in plain English - clear answer first, legal analysis where it adds value. 
• Spot issues early and come with options, not just problems. 
• Build strong relationships so teams see Legal as a trusted partner, not a final hurdle. 
• Balance responsiveness, quality and judgement across a steady flow of matters. 

What we’re looking for 

• Law firm experience is highly valued, ideally gained in an  environment with strong client-facing exposure.
• Strong legal capability, demonstrated through sound academic results, solid technical foundations, or experience navigating complex legal matters.
• Experience across commercial, corporate, or civil litigation matters, with a genuine willingness to contribute across a broad range of legal work.
• An interest in developing specialist expertise in areas such as property, construction, or regulatory work.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, research, and communication skills, with the confidence to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Sound judgement and the confidence to pause, assess the issue, and return with a considered view when further thought is required.
