Our four core brands—Healtheries, Nutra-Life, Musashi and Athena—have been helping people live healthier lives in New Zealand, Australia and more than 30 countries worldwide for over 100 years.

Your Opportunity

This role is designed to work alongside your tertiary studies while supporting your transition into a graduate career. Reporting directly to the Category Insights Lead, this internship offers two to three days of work per week for up to 12 months. It’s a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-moving consumer goods business here in New Zealand.

As the Category Insights Intern, you’ll build genuine capability and take ownership of meaningful projects across range and space planning and reporting, tracking and evaluating new product launches, developing market data dashboards, and coordinating internal and external customer promotional reviews.

You’ll work collaboratively with different departments and gain valuable exposure to Category Management, while building a broad understanding of how Category, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations work together to grow the Vitaco Health business.

To be successful in this role, you should be:

  • In your final year of tertiary study, or have recently completed a degree in Commerce, Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Research, Analytics or a related discipline
  • Available for a fixed term of up to 12 months, working two to three days per week at our East Tāmaki site
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Interested in AI, data visualisation and new ways of working
  • Curious about shoppers, consumers, retail, brands and how commercial decisions are made
  • Able to demonstrate strong planning and organisation skills through your studies or extracurricular activities
Previous corporate or FMCG experience is not required. We welcome examples from university projects, part-time employment, volunteering, community activities, leadership roles or sport to complement your application.

The ability to collaborate positively with the Vitaco team and other departments, and to work well across different teams, will be critical to your success. This experience will build a strong foundation for graduate careers in category management, insights, analytics, sales, marketing and commercial functions.

What can you expect in return?

  • On-the-job learning, development and coaching
  • Competitive hourly rate
  • Flexibility around study and examination commitments
  • Great discounts on our products
  • Subsidised onsite café
  • Wellness initiatives
  • Access to naturopathic advice from our in-house experts
  • A fun and supportive work environment—and more
