Your Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of pricing, category strategy and customer execution, turning data into decisions that shape how Vitaco wins in the New Zealand market.
We are seeking a passionate, results-focused and commercially minded Category & Pricing Analyst to support the NZ Category & Insights team in translating external category, pricing and shopper data into actionable insights that drive growth and profit-enhancing strategies for our NZ business, our brands and our retail partners.
Reporting directly to the Head of Category, this is an excellent opportunity to make the role your own in a growing business and play a key role in influencing pricing, promotional and category strategies across the organisation.
As the Category & Pricing Analyst, your role will be to create a competitive advantage through insight-driven, innovative and effective category, pricing and promotional analysis aligned to our brands and customer priorities. You will work collaboratively across the business and play an important role in identifying opportunities, supporting commercial projects and influencing decision making through data-led recommendations.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Bring
• Strong analytical skills, pricing analysis capability and
commercial acumen
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Proven experience offering insights and improvements to pricing and margins
through data analysis and business engagement
• Demonstrable experience in category, shopper, pricing and promotional
analysis, including the use of Circana, Nielsen or similar reporting tools
• Strong analytical, modelling and problem-solving capability
• Experience using AI tools for analysis and productivity would be advantageous
• Category management, revenue, pricing or sales analyst experience within an FMCG
environment or experience within a data service provider
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• A degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline is preferred
The ability to collaborate positively across teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing and Commercial functions will be critical to your success.
